I got 13 windows + 1 backdoor installed by Power Home Remodeling for $21k. The sell guy did his calculations on a paper $15k for windows and $6k for the door. When I ask him to give me that paper with all numbers on it, he refused, and told me he would give me the formal document after I signed all documents.
Then, he put the brackets back up for me so I didn’t have to try to find someone to do it. That may not sound like a big deal to some, but not having to worry about that was a huge help to me. And a really important thing for me was that I was comfortable with everyone from Power that came to my home.
Cost to update a bathroom
Checkbook’s undercover shoppers asked contractors to bid on three different projects. Company-to-company price differences were striking. For the largest of the jobs, quotes ranged from $190,000 to $321,000—a difference of more than $130,000. If you’re adding new rooms, making substantial changes to the existing floor plan, or dealing with complex structural or functional questions, you’ll need to hire professional design help. There are several design options and combinations of options. High Pressure Sales with lots of broken promises.

They also wouldn’t meet with just me, they wanted to meet with my husband at the same time. I run the project for the house and have never had a contractor tell me they had to meet with both owners. They ask too many personal questions that have nothing to do with what they do. I had a estimate scheduled just to get the guy off my property and quickly canceled it.
Power Home Remodelingcomplaints
We are very impressed with the outside vinyl trim work covering the exposed wood trim that looked kind of beat up, after some 57 years. Also the roof and windows are a lifetime warranty, Don't have to worry about no more roof or windows, it's great to know that. The average cost to replumb a house is $2,500 to $6,000, depending on the size of the home. Replacing a bathtub, sink, or toilet costs $450 and $1,800 per fixture.
I called the company and spoke to Nick who stated that I would receive a return call regarding my issues. I have yet to receive that return call to schedule someone to come out and handle the problem. They never show up and the last time they came and did one service not all the services as promise. Every time you call them than you have to wait two months for some one to come. They had me sitting here in June and July of 2022 never showed up.
Doors and windows
We had Power Home Remodeling do our windows in late 2019, In February 2021our bay window failed; gas leaked out. Call and they sent a person out to see what was going on, he took pictures and sent in the order. Then COVID hit, so we were told it could be a wait, fine I understood that. But during this time there was no update from the company. Before hiring a contractor, plan accordingly, ask questions, get multiple renovation quotes, and learn the process of working with designers and remodelers.
They tried to tell me a scratch on another window was sticky stuff. I just thought I would have these nice shiny windows and it was not what I got. We had all our windows replaced by this company in 2014 and have had to replace nearly all the windows for broken seal. Initially, requests for replacements were responded to within a few months which was reasonable, however starting two years ago, they have NOT replaced any of the now ten or 12 windows . We have waited patiently for request for two years...
Window Purchase and installment
I've wasted days of my summer at home expecting their crew to come to my house, and I've had to call in everytime for a new excuse why they didn't come. Project managers never know where crews are and never call back within an hour of my initial call to update me if a crew is still coming or not. I have to continuously call back in time and time again to figure out what's happening.

My installation date was approximately March 2018. The installation was at best average even after “quality controll” inspected it. A few weeks later I needed the windows to be caulked and insulated again as sunlight and air were coming through the perimeters of both windows. Power Home Remodeling completed a huge job for me in 2020, including all new windows, siding and a French Door amounting to over $35,000.
